All-female ensemble performance

All-female ensemble performance

On August 25 and 26 an all-female group performed at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall. The ensemble played 21 pieces in Persian, English, French, Hindi, Azeri, Kurdish and Lori. The group contains five singers and 11 musicians and they performed their songs in five languages. The singers who sang in Persian are Shaqaueq Tahmasbi and Parisa Delfani. Hindi was performed by Mahshid Molai and the English parts were taken by Kiana Kermanian. Besides the member Mary Ruth Batowa took the French part. The members were all in music academies in Teheran. The concert was exclusively for women because in Iran only women can visit concerts where the actors are all-female.
