Veranstaltungstipp: Saadi-Abend im Kulturhaus Pusdorf

Das Kulturhaus Pusdorf in Bremen veranstaltet am 02.09.2018 einen Abend rund um den persischen Dichter und Mystiker Saadi. Der in Shiraz geborene Lyriker war bekannt für Kurzgeschichten und Gedichte. Zu seinen berühmtesten Werken zählen „Rosengarten“ und „Duftgarten“. Des Weiteren schrieb er Vierzeiler, Einzelverse sowie persische und arabische Kassiden. Im Kulturhaus Pusdorf wird der Künstler, der von ca. 1190–1283 n. Chr. lebte, auf Persisch vorgestellt. Begleitet wird die Veranstaltung durch die Barbat Musikgruppe, die traditionelle persische Musik spielt. Lian Folk Band presented Bushehri Music

Lian Folk Band presented Bushehri Music

On August 4, the Lian Folk Band performed folk music of their native region Bu­­shehr. The concert was located at the Milad Hall in Tehran and hosted by International Permanent Fairground. The band performed a selection of ethnic pieces which are well-known in the southern coastal areas around the Persian Gulf. The band is playing their music around the world and was in the USA and the Far East. She comprises of ten musicians. At the night concert we saw Aakaa Safavi und Aklou Faramarzi singing the songs. The concert was funded by Kamyab-Baharan who is a music and concert producing company in Tehran. The International Permanent Fairground is located at the Chamran Highway. Italian Pianist Guidi plays in Teheran

On August 22-23, 2016 we will see the Italian pianist Giovanni Guidi at the Persian Gulf Hall of Niavaran Cultural Center. The pianist will give a piano concert. He is known for jazz and when he plays his strokes are described as subtle and sublime. His breaktrough was in 2004 where he was at the International Summer Workshop of Siena Jazz. He worked for the Rava New Generation project. Also he became the leader of some groups. In 2006 he made the album “Tomorrow Never Knows” and his latest CD came out in 2015. The title is “This Is the Day”. Besides he toured a lot of festivals in Europe and now we can look forward to him in Tehran. All-female ensemble performance

All-female ensemble performance

On August 25 and 26 an all-female group performed at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall. The ensemble played 21 pieces in Persian, English, French, Hindi, Azeri, Kurdish and Lori. The group contains five singers and 11 musicians and they performed their songs in five languages. The singers who sang in Persian are Shaqaueq Tahmasbi and Parisa Delfani. Hindi was performed by Mahshid Molai and the English parts were taken by Kiana Kermanian. Besides the member Mary Ruth Batowa took the French part. The members were all in music academies in Teheran. Barana Music Nights

Barana Music Nights

On August 10-19, 2016 the Barana Music Nights will be held at Golestan Palace. We will see musical presentations by artists from Iran and other countries. The audience can look forward to Loris Tjeknavorian, the family ensemble of The Kamkars, Shahrdad Rouhani, Keykhosro Pournazeri, Antonio Rey and others.
